MARISSA ISANG

Marissa Isang quite literally stumbled upon a career in television journalism. Following the sound of an orchestra practicing at Rock Valley College led her to a wrong turn down a hallway into a television studio and she has never left.

Her career has been predominantly in Midwest television markets with roles in Rockford, Milwaukee and Chicago. Isang has held positions ranging from Director/Master Control Operator to Line Producer, Segment Producer and Special Projects Producer.

Isang has a background in brand creation and management, as well as high-impact and streaming content. She has earned three Emmy nominations for her work.

Currently, she leads tech and AI storytelling as a Senior Tech & AI Integrated Content Manager at Amazon, where she has held multiple leadership roles shaping editorial strategy, creative operations, and event content. Her work includes translating complex innovations into engaging narratives, producing high-impact campaigns, and preparing executives for global stages.

She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, the National Association of Black Journalists, NABJ–Chicago, and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Chicago/Midwest Chapter.

Personally, she is a wife and mother of two beautiful sons.
