BLOOD DRIVE
The ABC 7 Great Chicago Blood Drive is now the largest one day Blood Drive in the country. Marissa Isang has led and grown this initiative for the past 5 years. She has turned 2021’s drive into the largest ever adding new locations for social distancing and virtual elements to help the franchise grow.
SHARE THE JOY
A yearly holiday initiative to help those in need. Isang has been the sole content creator for this initiative for the past 4 years. She worked with station partners to showcase the need in the communities. Booking shoots, writing and handling LIVE guests segments. See one example below!

AIR AND WATER SHOW WEEK
Launching this new format in 2017, Isang created a week of content highlighting what is to come for the Chicago Air & Water Show. This event is one of the largest tourist attractions for the City of Chicago and Isang worked in partnership with the city to field produce taped and LIVE pieces. This is now an annual weeklong event and partnership with the city and ABC 7 Chicago.
HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Weekly field produced content in and around the Chicagoland area to highlight Hispanic culture and history.
WE DAY
Corporate partnership brand for Disney that empowers youth in cities around the world to give back and create change in the communities they live in. Marissa Isang manages this partnership for ABC 7 field producing and creating original taped and LIVE content for all platforms.
CELEBRATING ABILITIES
Weekly field produce, shoot and write content in and around the Chicagoland area to highlight adults and children with varying abilities and inclusive places and activities.
FEED THE LOVE
This is the new rebranded 2020 holiday initiative to help those in need. Isang oversaw a team of content creators for this year’s coverage. She assigned community journalists to long time station community partners to showcase the need in the communities. Reviewing each story concept, script and final piece for air.
